Shelters all over the southern California are overflowing animals. Whenever you hear someone tell you that Los Angeles city is no kill - don’t believe them. Nothing could be further from the truth. In the past week shelters have been euthanizing dogs for space on a daily basis. On average, 30, 40, 50 and even 60 dogs are impounded per day. There’s no way we could be no kill. Los Angeles city even resorted to giving away dogs for free during the July 4 weekend.🤬 Free dogs are not the solution. Spay and neuter programs, enforcing current spay neuter laws and education and out reach and busting backyard breeders is!!!!
Even a beautiful, purebred three-year-old English bulldog is in trouble. After spending almost 2 weeks at the shelter during this unbearable heat wave, he’s become irritable and needs rescue ASAP. We would love to save his life. We need a dedicated, dog savvy foster to do that. No other dogs in the home and no kids under 13 as he has not been tested yet.
