The great news is that the surgery went well, my doc took a wide margin, hopefully eliminating the need for a second surgery, and two of the “suspiciously malignant” lymph nodes were tested and they came back negative.🙌🏼🙏🏼
The not-so-fun news is I have two JP drains instead of the originally planned one, and am still in a good amount of pain and discomfort, which has me feeling incredibly thankful for my Oxycodone right now.🙃With a snow storm headed our way within the next 24 hours, I did NOT want to take a chance of getting stranded an hour away at the hospital, so bit the bullet and came home today to ride out the pain from the comfort of the couch...a Starbucks latte on the way home was a small comfort, too.😇
Thank you so, so much for all the love and support of everyone whoMs teacher out through messages and calls these past 24 hours especially. It really means the world and I am doing my best between naps to get back to you all!😘Excited to say the hardest mental part is done, and looking forward to getting treatments started next month to kick this thing’s ass once and for all!👊🏼👊🏼🤨
🎵So follow, follow the sun,
The direction of the bird,
The direction of love
Breathe, breathe in the air,
Cherish this moment,
Cherish this breath
Tomorrow is a new day for everyone,
Brand new moon, brand new sun🎵
.... era bom não era... eu sei é tempo de chuva, de frio, mas posso não gostar e querer andar com pele à mostra, e o sol aquecer-me os ossos... venha lá essa primavera... sff
At what point will mediocrity no longer be an option? That was the question I began to ask myself daily.
It’s a great question to consider.
Once you get to the answer, you will realize change must happen in order to grow and move out of that mediocre state.
That doesn’t mean you have to leave your wife, quit your job and move to Hawaii tomorrow, but it should be the time to ask yourself the question, ‘What if...?’ * Every relationship has potential to be better (regardless of if you stay together or not).
* Every company culture has potential to turn around (given the right attitude and leadership).
* Every individual has the potential to enjoy their journey (if they are willing to reflect and do the work to make necessary changes). I’ll use a quote my husband has used thousands of times when faced with growth and change, “It’s simple, just not always easy!” Have a great weekend but take some time to reflect! #leadership#success#enjoythejourney#happiness#business#life#relationships
The weekend is a great time to take some valuable time out for your self and your own personal development and growth.
It's easy to neglect your own development because we all get caught up in our busy lives thinking that our work or studies or relationships or the mundane chores we have to get done are important... They are but trust me nothing is as important as your own growth and personal development.
If you want to give more and get more in every area of your life you have to become more and the only way we become more is by investing time in our own selves.
Some of you might need to sit on a rock and contemplate life and your journey, others of you might have to start putting together your business plan for that idea you have been talking about forever or you simply might just need some time to read and learn a thing or two from someone who has traveled a little further than you on the journey of life.
Don't waste your weekends or time off from work or your business, those days are yours to become more and become a better more versatile and more well rounded version of yourself.
So what are you going to do this weekend to move yourself a step closer to what your soul truly wants?
What are you going to do this weekend for your own personal growth and development?

I want my whole @before5am family winning this weekend!
Good morning friends! The snow hasn’t started yet but I can smell it in the air ❄️ Last weekend we got about seven inches of snow, we can only now see our blueberry bushes again! Tonight’s gunna be chilly so I’m making some breakfast and baking all day. Stay warm! 👩🏻🍳
