Swench To The World | Men & Mental Health | Dealing With Depression | RIP Ashley Fairbrother
October of last year we received an email from a young man who watched our videos regularly and followed the movement asking for some advice and if we could possibly arrange a training session with us all, we happily agreed and waited on a response, 4 days later we received a reply from his best friend letting us know that he had tragically taken his own life. His name was Ashley Fairbrother.
Just like us, Ashley has a strong circle of close friends who loved him and everything he stood for, he had been the one that got most of them into fitness and into our videos and between us we decided to go ahead and do the video he had planned to try and hopefully raise awareness on the matter in hand.
We are in no way experts on the matter of suicide or mental health nor have had much experience in that area however we are aware that this is a huge issue within our demographic especially in the UK and that we are blessed to have a platform and a following which we can use to raise awareness and hopefully help others “Depression and anxiety are among the most common mental health conditions experienced by young people. One in seven young men aged between 16 and 24 experience depression or anxiety each year and Suicide is the single biggest killer of men aged under 45 in the UK”
Please take the 10 minutes out of your day to watch the full YouTube video (LINK IN BIO), tag anyone you feel may benefit from it and share it, if one person can take anything positive from it’s been worth it.
There are also several links in the description box on the video of places and organisations that may be able to help anyone experiencing anything like what’s been mentioned in this video.
Big shoutout to @LysanderMaynard@willjeromee@tom_diggger7 for getting this done in memory of their brother.

With the days getting longer and weather nicer, this week RCMSAR member @djamilner brought out the full complement of life jackets for the Kids Don't Float program. Our unit owns and manages these stations, and is proud to see them in use as we work together to keep our waters safe. #rcmsar#saltspringisland#kidsdontfloat
This beautiful lady was found wondering the parking lot of a fast food restaurant begging for food..she is someone's pet but her owners have not been found..she has a microchip and the information on the chip traces back to a family and a shelter..neither one is claiming this kitty so she is safe with Little Shelter and awaits a home that will love her forever and keep her indoors.. Maybelle was adopted as a kitten from a local shelter and is now 6 years old..she loves to be petted and purrs when you show her any attention..the shelter is very scary for her and we are hopeful with her good looks and personality she will find a family soon.. more information please call 631-368-8770 ext 32 littleshelter.org #adoptasheltercat#sheltercat#littleshelter#90years#savinglives#huntington#longisland#nyc#saturdaynight
